Services Available

The services offered by the organization includes care, medical intervention, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech & audiological intervention, psychotherapy, behaviour modification along with educational activities. The skill training for persons with disabilities include self-help skills to vocational skills. The services are offered more at the centre level in comparison to community based programme. People come to us from different parts of the country to receive clinical & educational services from renowned professionals.

Camps

Since the organization also works in the area of health and family planning, hence we organize 2-3 health camps every year at different places. Apart from these, we do organize screening and awareness camps for people with disabilities and provide needed services to them and their families. We also provide guidance and counselling services to the parents after a short assessment of their wards. So far, the organization has organized more than three dozen camps in different districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Awareness Programme

It has been observed that there is a great need of creating awareness about causes, nature and types of disability along with management possibilities to integrate and bring persons with disabilities into the mainstream of society. However, the institute organises awareness lectures, workshops, meetings, debates and different types of play to create such awareness in the community. Awareness programme also includes benefits and concession available for disabled people.

Special School

Special School of the organization functions from 10 AM to 4 PM in every working day. Children with mental retardation, hearing impairment, cerebral palsy, autism and multiple disabilities attend regular activities of the special school. The CWSN and day scholars are integrated together during day care programme.

Vocational Training & Employment

Though it is a tough job to provide employment for disabled people, but the vocational unit of the institute trying its level best to provide vocational training and put them on the job. The skill training is provided in different trades such as computer fundamental, computer hardware, hand embroidery, envelop making, handloom weaving, candle making etc. The institute has planned to start a sheltered workshop so that more number of people with disability could be trained and employed, as well as orphan with disability can have life long job opportunity to work and earn their livelihood

Speech Therapy

Treatment to improve the speech of children who have difficulty in learning to speak.Speech and language therapy is concerned with the management of disorders of speech, language, communication and swallowing in children and adults. The treatment of speech and physical exercise to strengthen the muscles used in speech ( oral-motor-work), speech drills to improve clarity or sound production practice to improve articulation.

Special Education

“Specially designed instruction, to meet the unique needs of a special child .” Special education ensures that the unique needs of special child are met through additional services, supports, programs, specialized placements, or environments. The core purpose of special education is to provide specially designed instruction and intervention, as well as to give special kids access to the same education program or activities that are available to main stream kids.

Hearing Test

This test determines the patient's hearing ability relative to normal adult hearing levels to determine if there is a hearing loss, where it occurs and its type or classification. This information is critical to determine if medical or surgical intervention is possible or if hearing aids may help. Enhanced communication strategies may also be discussed during this session. Following Test:

Hearing Aids & Fitting

A digital hearing aid is an electronic device that amplifies sound and is worn to compensate for poor hearing. A hearing aid is a battery-powered, electronic device that makes listening easier for people with a hearing loss. A hearing aid consists of a microphone, an amplifier and a receiver. The microphone picks up sounds in your acoustic environment and turns them into electronic signals. The amplifier selectively amplifies the acoustic electronic signals. The receiver is a very small speaker that changes the electric signals back to sounds and delivers the sound to the ear
